Spiritual Strategic Journey

A Spiritual Strategic Journey is about . . .

. . . pursuing the full kingdom potential of your congregation.

. . . engaging in a 21st century approach to strategic planning.

. . . envisioning, crafting, and living into God's future story for your congregation.

. . . transitioning from being passive to soaring as a vital congregation.

. . . creating a missional movement in and through your congregation.

. . . transforming in response to a new, great opportunity.

. . . perfecting a journey that is ready to go to the next dimension of ministry.

The Columbia Partnership has a community of Strategic Leadership Coaches who are equipped to assist your congregation, or a cluster of congregations, in creating an enduring visionary leadership community to empower the spiritual strategic journey of your congregation.

This service is offered in a variety of ways. The first four offerings are for individual congregations, and the last three are for a cluster of congregations.

Offering 1--Congregational Assessment Learning Experience [CALE] is a one weekend experience from Friday afternoon through Monday morning. Its purpose is to engage a congregation in an assessment and learning experience they can use to address high priority strategic issues. This is an open and exploratory process where congregational leaders identify three to five issues on which they want to focus during the weekend.

This service is intended for congregations who need an outside perspective on their journey, but can handle the follow-up actions with minimal coaching.

Offering 2--Spiritual Strategic Journey [SSJ] Process is a year-long process to empower a congregation to develop its future story of ministry and empower a movement to live into this story as it travels in the direction of its full kingdom potential. This involves multiple on-site visits by a Strategic Leadership Coach.

This service is intended for congregations who want an in-depth process that will chart the course and provide a fast start for their spiritual strategic journey.

Offering 3--Spiritual Strategic Journey [SSJ] Leadership Community Learning Experience prepares the pastor, staff, and lay leadership to lead their own congregation through an SSJ process.

This service is intended for congregations who are ready to engage in their own SSJ process once they learn the principles and practices in a live learning experience, and only need minimal coaching.

Offering 4--Spiritual Strategic Journey [SSJ] Leadership Community Web-Based Seminar prepares the pastor, staff, and lay leadership to lead their own congregation through an SSJ process.

This service is intended for congregations who are ready to engage in their own SSJ process once they learn the principles and practices in a web-based learning experience, and only need minimal coaching.

Offering 5--Full Version of Spiritual Strategic Journey [SSJ] Congregational Cluster Process involves three to seven congregations in a cluster experience to develop their future story of ministry and a movement to live into this story as they move toward their full kingdom potential. They meet fro three Friday-Saturday retreat over 12 months and receive group coaching in between.

This service is intended for congregations interested in the synergy that builds through a cluster of congregations each holding one another accountable for progress along their journey. These are generally sponsored by denominational judicatories, who also participate financially in the process.

Offering 6--Lite Version of Spiritual Strategic Journey [SSJ] Congregational Cluster Process involves three to seven congregations in a cluster experience to develop their future story of ministry and a movement to live into this story as they move toward their full kingdom potential. They meet for only Friday-Saturday retreat over 12 months and receive group coaching the other 11 months.

This service is intended for congregations interested in the synergy that builds through a cluster of congregations each holding one another accountable for progress along their journey. These may be sponsored by denominational judicatories, who may participate financially in the process.

Offering 7--Telecoaching Version of Spiritual Strategic Journey [SSJ] Congregational Cluster Process involves three to seven congregations in a cluster experience to develop their future story of ministry and a movement to live into this story as they move toward their full kingdom potential. This version is totally done by web seminars and teleconference calls.

This offering is intended exclusively for congregations under 100 in average and/or who are scattered over a large geographic area where meeting at a common place is less feasible. Some quality is loss, particularly at the point of creating a sense of community between the participating congregations, which lowers the positive nature of accountability. But, it is the best offering for a cluster of all smaller membership congregations scattered over a wide geographic area.

The foundational text for the SSJ process is George Bullard's book, Pursuing the Full Kingdom Potential of Your Congregation. This book is available at www.Amazon.com by clicking here.
