Degree Programs in Christian Coaching

The Columbia Partnership has developed a partnership with Western Seminary to offer a Masters-level Christian coaching degree program.

With Western, TCP has developed multiple coaching courses that provide learners with world class coaching competency. TCP Partners and Associates serve as faculty for these courses. So, you know you are getting coaching training from persons who really know coaching and use coaching in their ministry every day.

In addition, several of these partners and associates teach in a D.Min degree program at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

If you are serious about coaching and prefer training that leads to a degree, consider these programs . . .

Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry--Coaching

TCP joins Western Seminary's world class faculty to offer an MA geared for ministry professionals and others who want extensive training and capacity as Christian coaches.

The MA in Coaching is designed to provide specialized training in utilizing the skills of coaching in helping both people and teams experience positive change and accomplish their goals. This ministry skill is important for those wanting a new discipleship/mentoring/leadership model for assisting others towards desired transformation. Special focus is given to developing change strategies and action steps. This track will provide a skill set that will be a strong foundation to ministering in both Christian and secular contexts.

The degree program is offered at all three of Western's west coast campuses: Portland, San Jose, and Sacramento.

In addition to the MA in Coaching, Western also offers a M.Div. with a Coaching concentration. Also offered are non-degree distance education courses in coaching.
