Following two board meetings in August, The Columbia Partnership has reaffirmed its purpose and set forth a strong, positive plan to focus on future services to its clients.
Formed in 2005, Columbia Partnership recently took action to refocus its ministry by launching a separate organization to center primarily on using a coach approach, and to re-launch Columbia Partnership as an organization dedicated to consulting, coaching, teaching, speaking, and publishing.
With great passion the board of Columbia Partnership has reaffirmed its purpose and restated it as,
The Columbia Partnership seeks to transform the capacity of the North American Church to pursue and sustain vital Christ-centered ministry.
The short statement it will continue to use to highlight this purpose is, Transforming the Church for Vital Ministry.
One reason for the great excitement that characterized its recent board meetings is a branding and marketing study that had been commissioned earlier in the year that showed high affirmation from the clients served by Columbia Partnership for the value of the services they receive.
Columbia Partnership wants to build on this high affirmation and deepen its relationship with its clients, so it has already begun working on various aspects of a client care system to increase even more the value it delivers.
“We get more excited when leaders, congregations, and denominations increase their capacity to lead and to achieve greater vitality in ministry than we do when the focus is on something we have done,” said Ken Kessler, president of the Partnership.
Over the next several months Columbia Partnership will be sharing new or renewed products and services it will be emphasizing during the coming years.
Among these are Travel Free Learning involving webinars and teleconferences, a premier learning community for 21st century leaders, partnerships with new affiliates and associates, insightful new books and publishing avenues from the TCP Leadership Series with Chalice Press, and added value services from a partnership with MissionInsite.
Columbia Partnership offices have relocated to Columbia, SC. The new address is 332 Valley Springs Road, Columbia, SC 29223-6934. The national number for the Partnership remains 866.966.4TCP.
